Wanted to start a thread here to find out what everyone is using for air filtration boxes when pairing various generation SBC (350) motors and snorkels?

Would be good to get some ideas out there as it seems that most people just run the cold air "cone" filters. If you've got a system please post up what motor, filter system, and post up a pic for us to reference!

Besides, my Cruiser wants more character and if I figure this out I'll owe you a beer.

I'd be curious to see peoples solutions as well as i was looking to start a snorkle project on my truck. I wonder if the 60 series snorkles flow enough air for these motors....

OEM Air Filter / GM

I went the easy route... with my 99 5.7 Vortec. GM OEM air filter setup. Allthough I did buy one of the cold air type setups which I've not installed just yet. I was concerned about adaquate air filteration, so I"m just running the OEM air filter setup for now.

I have been using the Spectre Automotive build your own. My plan is use the ARB snorkel Then by the pieces from Spectre to adapt it in. They have everything needed to make it work with any setup.

I saw that kit at Schucks the other day, but didnt take a deep look at it. It did seem to be rather narrow tube though. Anyone else got some pics of thier V8's and snorkels?

Mine's the same as Elbert's. Dunno if I want to go the cone filter route (kinda like intake noise myself) or extra blingy with a snorkel. I'd think the ID would have to be 1.5-2X that of the 2F because of CID & RPMs.

There's not a lot of water in CO, but there is a lot of dust. And I've fallen out of love with the K&Ns: used to have them on everything but now I know how my oil got so dirty so fast.
