Before the good stuff… quick question- when putting rear key pad and cylinder back into place - any suggestions for sealing/adhering the new key pad to body of truck?

Or is just in place with key cylinder and hope for best?

(The original was long rotted off so not a clue how it was setup- if at all)

Now the oddly satisfying goo

Of course all the keys @ToyotaMatt got me worked like a charm! - followed Drs order and cleaned out cylinders- Finally got around to addressing rear cylinder last night in prep for replacing the remnant lock pad. Getting cylinder out was a ******!
But eventually it gave. Had to take apart cylinder to give it a good scrub - it was beyond satisfying - and disgusting the filth - like breaking down a tomalley filled lobster! But clean as a whistle now!

you need this :

Dr Gadget lol while I don’t have your rad merchandise protector gloves … I do have lock pad … of course like a big dodo I had ordered it well before our introduction, otherwise I would’ve gotten from you! Ugh

Anything I need to install it? Or does it just plop right on and stay?

it "plops on" as you say and the lock cylinder holds it in place. What holds the lock cylinder is a key that slides on against the body on the back side and into the grooves on the side of the lock cylinder. That is all then hook up the locking rod to the back of the cylinder.
