Nice going Gary, I guess you pick on Jeff on regular basis, poor Jeff :D

So, little change of subject here. How are the trails these days at RC? Is it real muddy? Did you guys get a lot of snow/Rain there? It's been so long that I forget how the trails look like on East/West/South/north properties.

Unfortunately there has been a fair amount of logging up at Rausch. I haven't been there for a few months but the last time we had some trouble finding a couple of the trails. There hasn't been a lot of snow but plenty of rain. I would bet on mud unless you're on the rocks.

Don't feel bad for Jeff, he brings it on himself.:p

yeah it's a little ugly on the west property...all the trails are still marked however though.

keep in mind if you want to run trail 18 or any of the other trails down there, that once you find the trailhead just follow the orange or pink ribbons on the trees, and that should keep you fairly close to the original trail.

if you see something cool that you wanna play on.....feel free.

On the topic of the trail conditions, I defer to Mike;)

Routinely, once the logging in an area was completed, the Rausch folks came through the trails and remarked them. Less trees in some areas = more mud but at the same time, more rocks were uncovered in areas... so the west property looks more open while the south and east are the same minus the addition of trail 21 on the south anf the comp course and new camp/entrance/staging area on the east.

I think after spring growth and people running on the trails they will be a little easier to find. The trees were half the fun though.:meh: As Jeff stated, there are plenty of trials that haven't been logged.

Sounds like there will be lots of mud and logs. I'm gonna take the by-pass for each mud hole, if there's any. I h8 getting muddy.

will anyone have any extra seats on saturday??...my brother might be home from school for the weekend, and if he is im sure he'll want to come along, i know he'll be out spotting for everyone most of the time anyways, thats just what he does;p

Do you guys think we'll have alot of ice to contend with on Sat?

s'posed to be warm today, so it'll probably melt some and then refreeze into something nasty.

BTW--we have a backseat, too....I know it's not as good as shotgun, but hey, we's gots seats if they're needed.

Brett

We should be good to go in the morning.... closer to 1-2 PM, it may get slippery since it will start to melt on top in the sun. That is my experience anyway.... if it gets too treacherous, we'll call it a day or just find some rocky trails, sure to be traction on the rocks like always...

That works fine . . . we have to head out around 1 anyway. I love it when a plan comes together.

Trikpony, I didn't think that there was anything to improve on that bronco... It already spanks all the crazy lines!

Final Roll Call

email me or PM me your cell if I don't already have it..... and let me know your coming..

don't be afraid of some little ol' snow:grinpimp:

C'mon out for the first ride and start the year off right!

Weekend weather and snow cover

I'm not real concerned about the weather or the conditions at rausch this weekend. We got about 3 inches of accumulated snow, sleet and freezing rain here at my place Tuesday and Wednesday, most of it is gone where the sun hits it. There will be snow and snowmelt at rausch but I don't see it being a major problem. I don't think we'll be running any wild trails (assuming Jeff won't have the truck ready!!!!!) and I plan to do greens and blues for the most part. I see this weekend as a good opportunity just get the truck out for a little exercise and for a little club and wheeling comaraderie. I need to be out of Rausch by about 3:30 and don't want to get too deep into the west property unless it's early in the day. By the time we get through the top part of the east we ought to have a good idea what the park is gonna be like. Kapeesh?

Sean- I put a new CB in the truck (allright, a used, different CB) and maybe you can tune it in for me. One way or another I want to have a functional CB before the CMCC later this year. Gary S
