I'll go throw the box in there, now.
My locker didn't come in time, so I won't be all that crazy this trip. Although, that didn't stop me before I had lockers;)

you haven't wheeled that truck yet Sean. ;p

i think i am gonna stick close to you all weekend...that way if i get a flat i can borrow your spare....

My buddy at work has bailed on me. So it's gonna be me and my 5 year old warrior :D. Man I haven't felt this psyched about wheeling in a long time. I just need get to the garage and put on my 285s and the CB Antenna then I am all set.

See you guys in the morning, I should be there by 8:30 the latest.

I'm out, gotta fix the Tacoma frame and hopefully install some suspension parts to finish off the 4 Runner. Have fun tomorrow and take lots of pictures

Saturday wheeling

Had a goodtime at rausch today. Lots of ise and snow and all the branches in the park were ice covered- a winter wonderland!!!!! Not a lot of traffic but more trucks than Iexpected. We had twelve or thirteen and split into two groups. My group had solid axle swapped 88 Toy truck, a 40, three 80's (capable all!!!) and my pig. We did well, had a great time and didn't break anything.

I did run into a problem with my pig, a miss that came and went and finally came and stayed. I left a little earlier than i would have liked to and limped the piggy home. Found some problems under the distrinutor cap, made everyhting as right as I could and installed new parts, and she seems pretty good now.

We did have to get the winch uncovered once today, on the powerline where the polish brothers had trouble last year. All in all a great day, thanks to those who showed up to wheel and thanks for making this club a success!!!! I can't wait to hear how Jeff and the big dogs made out...........Gary S

Well the Crew Jeff led went to the west side for much of the day; slick conditions were in store for the group.
The jeep with I was driving got hung up on pizza rock, first real obstacle of the day:crybaby: Bury coming around to give me a yank put a rear quarter into a tree. And from there our day got better:lol: Some were denied by sort of easy obsticals and then went on to be:grinpimp: with the open open Sean;),some found trees later in the day.

Over all a very good day with a bunch of great guys.

Thanks Dom and Jeff for the spotting, well mostly Dom, Jeff for getting me into the spots:D. Riad has the pics.

James

Gary, as always, you did a nice job leading us today. You were right on your hunch with the distributor.

My son snapped some really great pics of all the rigs in our group.... I will try to have them up tomorrow. It was nice putting faces with names in our group. Thanks to Steve and Kelly for an early dinner at
Rachels :) We ended up leaving the park pretty early today and I am sorry that I missed the rest of the group... did you guys (Jeffrey's group) stick around?

We got back to the parking area about 430 5 ish

All in all an eventfull day. Like Jim said, as I was going around pizza rock and I slid on the slick stuff and put my left rear quarter into a tree. The same one I dented before.:whoops: So as Dave ,of GCLC fame, winched me off the tree the rest of the fellas got a high lift on the pintle and shoved me off the tree.
I think Riad got the worst of it today. He got into a tree on 10 (I think) and got his left rear quarter as well. Then he got into a sappling on the passenger side. Some where along the way he also got the right front quarter. I'm sure he will chime in and give his own damage report.
Sean christend his bumper by donating some of his green paint to a tree. His mini did great. I was amazed what a good driver can do in an open open rig.
Dave's rig did quite well. I love being out with the old rigs.
My passenger Tim had a great time. He hasn't wheeled in a long time and enjoyed hanging out with the group.
Can't wait for the next ride. Hope I can take the time to get on the trails again soon.

That was a blast guys . It was great to see you all there today. Many thanks to Jeff for putting this together and spotting me over the Pizza Rock and other places. Same goes for Dom for all the spottings he did today. Chris, it was great to finally meet you man. I was real impressed by Sean's performance. He kicked ars with open diffs. Sean, get the lockers man, you're gonna just own any trails out there. The two dents I got aren't too bad. At least not as bad as the one I got on the DS at Paragon. It's just another dent, will buff right out and then get dented again :D. It's just another reason I should be wheeling more often so there will be less/no dents

Well, here are the pix, Enjoy!

Saturday wheeling

Riad- thanks for the pics and video clip!!! Sure was a glorious day to be out in the woods.........Gary S

I had a great time.. we wheeled from 9:00 to 5:00... great day, snow stayed solid enough to hook up without making it sloppy... sun started going down, froze solid again!

Sean gets the overachiever (open diffs) award :steer:
Riad/Hamdun/Dave/David get the 'iron butt' award

Jim gets the best 'stuck' of the day on pizza rock:popcorn: and his willingness to stick the 'no lift' jeep on tricky lines was refreshing:grinpimp:

Gary gets the 'leader of the day' award:D for taking the group to a good day and no breakage, even with new and old faces:clap:

Rausch was really nice, ice on the trees was quite stunning... shoulda been there if ya weren't:flipoff2:

Great pics Riad... some of the trails we did: 11B to 18 (pizza rock), across Rock Creek on shortcut 10 to 13 around to 15 to 12C to the powerline to the shortcut to south property to 21 to lower snakebit around B to trail 10 to 4 to yellowjacket continue on 4 to 5 to 2 followed all the way to crawler ridge to pole line to 1 to the black loop and....... then we had a  or two:cheers:

Thanks for the documentation of me being a tree hugger, Riad. Fun day, hope you make it up again sometime. I'm usually the only 80 in the group. It's nice to have bretheren trying to weave that fat ars girl through the woods.

Yes, a very good day indeed! Had a great time. Glad to meet all you folks. I'll post some pics up when I get them all out of the camera.
