I'm stuck overseas so unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year either.

I missed the deadline to cancel but hopefully someone else gets to use my spot to enjoy this epic event!

I'm gonna try it this year in a stock fj62. Wonder if I'll be the only stock rig there.

You might be, but there always seems to be one or two. Your 60 will be totally fine. Black bear only requires great brakes. Beyond that you are all good. It is the stupid steep downhill buttpucker looking over that cliff that gets your blood moving. Not technical other than the very first step in the "steps". Still, there will be a spotter handy. I wouldn't worry about it. The view is totally worth it.
As for the other trails, your 60 will prove that a stock Land Cruiser is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I have been hoping plans would evolve allowing me to make it out this year, but unfortunately it is not going to happen.

My first thought was " Damn @Dilspec, @DangerNoodle possibly, and you all in the same year." Knock on wood, this is be the I wont be spending my time off the trail having to work on 60. Actually going to have time to hangout with everyone and join @John McVicker at his fire.

Side question: Everyone still plan on doing the special bottle of whiskey? If so I got to go see my guy and see what bottles he has in his backroom.
