Woody got us all setup under the tlca/clubhouse forum, we have our own forum under san diego landcruisers.

If you guys haven't purchased a star, please do so, it goes to support ih8mud.com.

Everyone check back here often for what is going on with everyone else. I figure we can use this forum to swap parts, plan trail rides, technical help, etc.

Nice one Noah, thanks for setting it up. Great meeting everyone last night! Hope you guys sucked down a couple more pitchers after I left.

PS. I am considering heading to the FJ45/55 run on Labor Day(just outside Tahoe) if anyone is interested in riding with me(in the Dodge so the ride wont be too bad)...

Paint recc

Anybody got any reccomendations for a good body/paint shop in SD? Need to get my OEM bows painted & matched to a custom color the PO used....really similar to Freeborn Red but not exact. Also going to fix my side panel scratch.

paint it yourself in your driveway like the rest of us, and join the hated nabor club.:D You know you will be almost done once you get your first notice from the city.:wrench:
 
Probably gonna do the rear fender myself but need to get someone to mix me up some color matching paint. The Freeborn Red I have doesn't perfectly match my rig. Who did you buy your paint from?

Oh, I joined the hated neighbor club a long time ago....shaping surfboards is super noisy & dirty also.

OK, I just found out about the the SD Cruisers and I look forward to meeting more of you guys. Also...what is the "star" that I am incouraged to purchase?

the "star" is $20 and allows you to post a large amount of pics, etc on the site. It helps to support ih8mud and is only once a year. You should be able to find it under "membership" in your settings, woody is setup for paypal to make it easy.

Again, the star is not required but I feel is a respectful gesture in order to support a great site we all use. Woody was nice enough to setup this corner for us to use.

So what's new with everyone? How are everyones trucks coming along? I am finally getting my Asian carb re-built by Jim C. Can't wait to get this POS Rochester carb off....9 mpg is killing me.
 
I am waiting for my steering knuckles rebuild kit/wheel bearings from Kurt @ Cruiser Outfitter. Should be waiting at home for me today hopefully. Plan on using Guppie's writeup as a reference.

Did you ever get your Ehsan soft top? Post pics when you do. Curious to see how that turned out.
 
No top yet but you know how slow those things get shipped. Supposedly in the air in the next couple days so I am thinking I will have it in a couple weeks. I'll post some pics up when i get it on...not really in a rush since the weather is so nice.

Dom, would love to head up there but still trying to solve some heat issues. Gonna reaplace thermostat, temp sending unit, hoses, rad cap, etc. & see where I am.
 
Anything going on with this thread? Anything new with you guys? I saw Dom the other day at REI and Ian out surfing at Beacons. Hope everyone is doing good. Get together for a drink soon?
 
We do need to get together. Pizza port worked out well.

Anyone still planning on Surf N Turf?

there are a bunch of cruisers around PB, maybe with some flyers we could get a few more folks?
