With recent talk of silicone hoses (mainly for boost), I thought since I seem to be the one who has wanted these the longest, I don't mind "taking point" contacting Samco & seeeing where we can get - but it would be good to get a rough idea how many people we could count on - figure it to be a $400-$500 investment, so it's for the long-term owners.

I don't get it really. The OEM parts are solid. Is this a bling thing or are there that many people worried about having to replace the hoses again in 2027?
I would venture Samco would be happy to get a kit together. I read through the thread and there didn't seem to be much agreement on a large number that would all commit to one set of hoses.
When I talked to Samco last, they were all for the idea of offering a kit... Someone needs to purchase all of the OEM hoses that we want made, and Samco will duplicate them as one kit.
I was planning on doing this, but ended up having to get rid of my 80 before I had the opportunity.

Considering most hoses on my 94 were original, I guess I dont see a great need to buy expensive hoses for a vehicle that most people are only going to keep for a few years and likely not put another 100k miles on.![]()
After just putting $12k in a new motor and owning the truck since day one, I'm definitely up for longevity. 300k on my LX btw.
I've read too many of your threads and you're definitely the exception to the rule.![]()
Pretty sure there are a few like me![]()
