I got in a wreck on Friday with Virgil (gray 1990 FJ62) lots of passenger side body damage not for sure if they will total it? if they do I will take the parts I want (when I buy it back as a salvage) and sell off as parts the rest or should I just sell it as is? after I take the parts I want for Pete (white 1989 FJ62) Kind of bummed too since I just pick up Virgil only 3 weeks ago. He's only got 158K miles dang it!

All Passangers where OK, I guess that's why I loved the LandCruisers lots of steel in the body.

Glad everyone was ok. I have been in two wrecks with mine, but the damage was minimal to the cruiser.

If it is dark grey, can I have dibs on the rear upper tailgate? If it is not rusted and has wiper linkage.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Remember that blue book value doesn't take into account the LandCruiser collector value. If the insurance company tries to total it for $2500 or some BS, fight it.

Sorry to hear he news. You could part it out if you got the time. Don't take the first offer from the insurance company. Make sure you get what you need from them.

Hey, I'm down in Klamath,

-if they total it, make sure get the real value out of it
-rebuild it if you can (or want to)
-I'd consider buying it for a parts rig if you hadn't taken too much of the stuff I want out.

Let me know, I'd come pick it up!

i hope it wasn't your fault.
find all receipts add them up then find the fair market value for you rigs condition. wait to settle after 3 months they get a little worried that your lawyer in now involved if you don't have one tell then you do. go to the chiropractor, one that your lawyer would use. its ok to be a little hateful but you catch more bees with honey. oh and lets see some pics of this.....

Buyback is based on a mathematical percentage of the total. If you're buying it back, the cheaper the total the better. Should be around 12 percent of the totalled amount. If it's got significant body damage, and you didn't go with classic car insurance with agreed value, you can bet a total is in your future.

Whooa, the title post freaked me out a little bit at first! Like some kind of out of body experience or something ,....... Highlandcruiser.

Sorry to here about your loss man !

I'm glad everyone is OK, and I'm sorry for your loss. That being said....

Dibs on the rear shoulder seat belts! :p
