I am trying to replace the brake lines on the front end of my '87 FJ60. The caliper end came off pretty east but the other end that bolts to the mount that is attached to the axle is so rusted I can't seem to get it to budge. I have used liqued wrench and let it soak for days and I have tried to use a torch to heat it up....nothing. I am afraid I will break the mount, it bends pretty easy when I wrench on it.

Any suggestions?

i've got the same problem. There is a tab that slides out towards the rear of the car that whould allow you to slide the hose through the mounting tab. As for getting the hose removed from the hard line. I am still messing with that my self. Let me know if you have any luck.

I just started hacking away at the clip and hose with a dremel. I finally got it though. What a pain. I ordered all new clips and hoses.
