Hi all!

Not really new at the forums, but the members thread disappeared.

My name´s Michael, i´m from Austria, and 9 month ago i bought a KZJ77 from 1995. First mod was a OME suspension lift and fog lights.
First dents and scratches happend during a offroad-trip in Romania :frown:

Gradually i began to "explore" my cruiser, but what i discoverded didnt please me.

The cruiser was sold by a german mining company, and you can imagine what coal dust and humidity can do to body sheet metal.

Something had to be done - and here are the pics

It was easy to remove the bumper side panels - they nearly felt of...

The rear bumper with all the plastic was removed, the new one looks
rather similar to this one

Next to come:

-bigger tires
(what do you think about Cooper Discoverer STT?
-snorkel
-bullbar
-and if i´ll ever have the money, i´ll change the light duty front against the HZJ-front :D

Regards

Michael

Nice work!
What engine is in that- a 3 liter?

Austrian here as well, but living in the US since 96...

cheers!
Jan

welcome from Canada
i got your email and am in the process of looking up the part(s) number...
you might want to contact Mot or Dave (Japan4X4)
they might be able to supply it cheaper than your local dealer...

That´s great Wayne, thanks a lot, and i´ll contact them (may i use your picture for explanation?)!

Jan, you´re from Austria?

I think i´ll buy the coopers in 265/75R16...

Little european Landcruiser History:

Only the KZJ90/95 came with the 1KZ-TE, in my truck i have the 1KZ-T
1KZ-T from 1994 to 1996 (KZJ70/73/77)
1KZ-TE from 1996 to 2000 (KZJ90/95), afterwards replaced by the 3.0 litre D4D engine.

Actually the KZJ77 is also rather rare over here. In Austria there are
only two of them...

...other fine Cruisers like the BJ7x or PZJx where never regularly imported to Austria, and in the meantime the european regulations make a self-import nearly impossible.

Cheers

of course

Well, i have a 1KZ-TE in my 94 Landcruiser KZJ78. Import from Japan.
maybe some one can tell me the difference between 1KZ-T and 1KZ-TE.
Thanks

yes, grew up outside of innsbruck, then university in vienna, then 6 years in manhattan, now in san diego.

same problem here, it is almost impossible to import the good diesel cruisers, and no chance to get a new troopy or anything like that.

cheers,
jan

"E" means it has an electrical fuel pump, not a pump steered by the t-belt

the E pump is mainly the same, is driven by the T-belt too but has electronic delivery quantity and timing control, as well as a bunch of sensors and in most cases an EGR equipment.
