Hey guys, need some guidance on wiring this compressor. I have a 50 amp 2 pole breaker to connect it to. I have some 8-3 wire. I know the wire is a little overkill but wondering if I can use it since I have it. And I chose the breaker based on the code that you can have up to 240% over the 24 amp draw listed on the motor. I attached a picture of the motor specs, the wire, and the fuse box. Wondering if I can just pull the red wire out and match up the black-and-white wire to the compressor and then put them in the breaker while attaching the copper wire next to the green on both sides. Am I on the right track? Thank you.

Got it going. Breaking it in now.

I'm surprised to see a pressure switch being used to directly switch 6hp on a compressor. Single phase air compressors have staggering starting loads, like 300% of nameplate amps. If you use this compressor a lot it wouldn't hurt to install a contactor to start the motor.
