Hey all, so as the thread title states, I'm installing ARP Wheel studs and I got a few questions.

1. Can I reuse the gasket that sits on the inside of the flange?

2. I removed the brake caliper by removing the caliper bolts and hanging it with a bungee cord off of the spring so as not to stretch the brake lines. I did not take out the pads, pins or spring clip and had planned to just remount it after I put on the hub. Is that okay?

3. I dinged up the inside part of my hub a bit when removing some of the studs, is this okay?

4. Is there anything I should do with the ARP Wheel studs before I press them into the hub? I notice the hub has tiny groves in it from the olds studs. Should I try to line them up? Do I apply anything to the stud before pressing it in? Lastly, I am using a ball joint puller to press in the studs, anything wrong with that?

Finally do you all mind taking a look at the pictures below? I am at best a one  mechanic and I think the bearings look find and the wheel had no play in it but you all would know better than I.

Thanks in advance!

Can't tell which gasket your refering to.

Yes its fine, try not to get grease on the pads.

What part, how bad are the dings. Probably is fine.

Don't worry about the striations from the old studs, you can add a bit of assembly lube or grease to the new studs.

Are you pulling on the threads to seat the new studs? only press them in do not pull them in.

Looks fine but its hard to see anything with all the grease on the spindle.

Thanks in advance!

1. I'm guessing that your referring to the hub gasket and if its not torn you should be able to reuse it, if it is than red fipg can be used as well.

2. yes, to help reinstall the caplier you may want to press in the pads a little bit to get some room between the pads and rotor

3. the pics arnt really showing any damage to the hub, if you nicked the hub seal in the metal area itll be fine. if the seal area (the black rubber area) I would replace it and repack your wheel bearings at the same time.

4. just send them in, the groves from the old studs are to keep the studs from spinning in the hub. I haven't used a ball joint puller to press studs in, I just pull them into the hub with a lug nut.

I just pull them into the hub with a lug nut.

I've done this in a pinch on the trail but would not recommend it. Reason is that you put waaaaaay more torque on the threads than they are meant for, this can stretch the threads which can result in lug nuts getting loose miles after they've been torqued on.
