The club is planning day run at the Rowher Flats OHV area and anyone is welcome to join us. This run will include some steep climbs and descents but should be suitable for stock vehicles. The plan is to meet on Saturday (March 22) at 9:00 A.M. and head out on the trail shortly afterwards. We will meet at Staging Area 1 in the OHV park (see map below and this link). The plan is to then follow the Rowher Trail up and over the mountain and end up on Bouquet Canyon Road. If we have time, we will then drive about 3-4 miles south down Bouquet Canyon Road to Quarry Road and take several trails over the hills to San Francisquito Canyon Road.

Attached are two Google Earth files with the approximate routes of the planned trails. The Rowher Flats trail is marked in red and the trail over the hills to San Francisquito Canyon Road is marked in yellow. These files can be imported into Gaia GPS and probably other programs...

If you have any questions, post up or message me. Message me if you want my phone number. For our Ham operators, let's use channel 146.535.

If you are planning on attending please post here or message me so we do not leave anyone behind. Also, the OHV park is subject to closure due to rain so if there is any rain in the week before the run then we may need to postpone.

Thanks!

So suitable for the Tacoma Trailhunter?

I have been re-thinking the route... We may just stay within the OHV park and circle back down from the top of Rowher Trail to 6N07, then to 5N13 and back to the starting point. We can decide depending on who shows up and how big the group is.

See attached for a Google Earth file with the approximate alternate route. This file can be imported into Gaia GPS and probably other programs...

Lookout Trail is probably the hardest trail @ Rowers. Here's a well done video.
I think that is the same trail that we plan to take. I was on the trail a month after that video was taken and it had been dozed into basically a fire road. We did not even bother airing down. There were steep climbs but nothing as rough as in the video (unless you took an alternate route). With the relatively little rain we have received this year I don't anticipate it being too bad. I guess we will see...

There is Rower Trail and a Lookout Trail. The later is harder but I don't know what its current condition.
There both off the same road not to far from each others entrance

Thanks for the clarification! I have only been out there a couple of times so not too familiar with all the trails...

sold....heresy....why not stuff it in the garage for 20+yrs....makes a good barn find :bang: ....don't use me as an example.just like my ivestment strategy....buy high/sell low.
Barn storage is the primary plan. Not sold yet…If He makes me an offer I can’t refuse…It will go to a good home!
