I was thinking about it but I didn’t see any availability at any camp sites near by
Big Bear is an open camping area so basically you can camp anywhere 100 ft from a route of travel and not on any waterways. The trail we plan to run has a yellow post site.
Big Bear’s motto is something for everyone 😉

As of now, we have 7 rigs/drivers who have said they're attending; with another 6 "maybes". Sounds like a good group, to me! We should have no trouble doing the trails I proposed in Post #1. The Saturday weather forecast looks good - a few early clouds, mostly sunny, high near 55, and winds at 5-10 mph. It might be a little cool for camping, with a forecast low of 33. If you plan to camp, be sure to confirm any campfire/stove regulations in effect.

If you're "on the fence" would you please post an update as soon as you're sure? Likewise, if you find that the schedule no longer works for you. Hope to see you all on Saturday morning!

Got the locker and front drive shaft installed, we are a go!
Just out of curiosity which locker is this and how'd the install go?

I’d be interested to run gold mountain. Are you guys running gold mountain or white mountain?
From post #1 “Depending on how many rigs, and rig/driver capability, we can do another trail in the area that is a little more challenging. Right now, I'm thinking White Mountain (3N17).”

So, yes, I’m hoping to do White Mountain. But, if the group is large enough to split, and if some want to do Gold Mountain, that would be fine. We would just need a volunteer trail leader for the 2nd group.

I can lead the second group if we decide to split after the first leg of the run.
I'd be down for Gold Mountain, I always like a good challenge. That being said I don't have a mobile unit radio yet.

I will bring a couple of club radios (courtesy of BigWaveDave!) that we can loan. Obviously, current club members have priority. Hope to see you there!

I'm going to camp and head back on Sunday. Let me know if anyone's interested in sharing a site.
I'm planning on camping, probably at just a yellow post site somewhere

You have heard it before & you'll hear it again....Im in the line-up

Also, any who have a 100s/470 with an alternator charging set up, I'd like to look/photo your wire routing.
