Glad your idle is fixed. Just out of curiosity, what is your idle at a stop light in "D" while on the brake? How about in neutral at same stop light?Mine is at 600 rpm in "D" and 650 rpm in "N". At 600 rpm, I get the "D" vibration that is well documented on here. I've cleaned my TB, but haven't done maf or plugs.

Where do you find the coils for $65? I'm on vacation right now so just paid the dealer to get it done, but if I can get them cheaper in the future I will. I'm sure CDan can get me a discount but I would be surprised if it is that much off to get me down to $65. Is it aftermarket?

Understand, sometimes you have to do that.

No, they are OEM Denso- http://www.amazon.com/Denso-6731303-673-1303-Ignition-Coil/dp/B002Y37M0W It would be a good idea to get 1-2 as a spare.

I'll find out for you tonight now that it is fixed. Previously, it would fluctuate from about 500 - 800 when in drive, and about 600-900 when in neutral.

When my truck is cold, it idles at 800 in drive and 850 in neutral. Once it is warmed up, it is idling at 675 in drive with the brake on, and 775 in neutral.

Thanks @satchel - mine is definitely idling low when at temp. I'm going to clean the MAF and do plugs over the holidays to see if the idle goes up at all.

No, they are OEM Denso- Amazon.com: Denso 673-1303 Ignition Coil: Automotive It would be a good idea to get 1-2 as a spare.

What years does it fit? It seemed 03' and later use a different OEM part # for coil. Also I searched Denso 673-1303 and found:
coil melting?

Looked scary maybe something else wrong but is it the same as Mr. T OEM? The Amazon price is really good now; I'm considering a stock a pair.

They should fit all years. I am not sure why Mr T has different part #s other than they like to swap them out. Perhaps there was a redesign? The denso's are what I will use when I need one.

@satchel - thanks for the follow up. Makes sense. Guess mine is idling fine then lol. Merry Christmas all.

... I would be curious to know if anyone else has had a bad coil without any codes.
Yes, it can happen. Eventually they'll throw a code, but they can go for a while before doing so.

I appreciate all the invaluable wisdom!

Here are my two cents on how I fixed my vibration/rough idle. 166k miles.

First off, 2 spark plugs were not tight, the plugs were changed at Lexus by the PO about 60,000 miles ago.

Replaced all 8 spark plugs with Denso’s made in Japan.

Based on the recommendation of people on this forum I cleaned the throttlebody which was extremely crusty with black soot residue.

Lastly, I cleaned the PCV valve thoroughly. It too was very crusty with oil residue.

This entire process took me under 3 hours, 🍌 job.

Below you can see the two spark plugs that were not tightened in all the way by the stealership. Hopefully this will not have a negative affect on my vehicle in the long run?

Throttlebody... so shiny.

Spark plugs walk off: Spark plugs Alert Alert Alert!

As stated earlier in thread. I found it very helpful to disconnect battery for 20 minutes minimum while doing a minor tune up.

Just fixed the vibration in mine.

I found the TSB on Exhaust Boom at Idle posted by another member (Attached).

After going through everything listed, mine was motor & transmission mounts. Installed (2) 12361-50210, and (1) 12371-50180. It runs smoother than it has in years.
