whoa...

glad you are okay. it must have been a hellish impact with no airbag. take some time to get over it and think about this but IMHO you need to find a nice stock 93/94 and start switching stuff over. nothing like getting back on that horse to get over something.

btw that was a nice looking truck. I don't think I knew how many mods you had.

of course, if you don't rebuild I call dibs on the turbo :D

Day'um Brutha! Sweet rig!

Glad you're O.K. Take two of these :banana: and call me in the mornin'!:flipoff2:

My truck was involved in a head on collision this Sunday in the early AM hours and was totalled. "

Sorry to here that, but happy to hear you walked away.
I feel your pain brother, I totaled my '96 2 weeks ago.

I know it took a lot for you to post this Jamie. I am glad your fine and its just parts that are bent. I have seen your truck in person and it was a nice rig, but it's just a rig. You my friend are much more important and as always, I got your back with whatever you decide to do.

Sorry about your loss Reffug. Glad you're OK.

Reffug -
Glad you are OK...good thing for memories. I am sure you have plenty of good ones. It was a sweet ride.

Cheers.

Two things to say...

1. Awesome

2. Sorry

I was just about to shut the computer down when I saw the ROTW was you and I had to look.

Needless to say, I was sad to read about your loss but happy to know you are okay.

You will be back in the driver's seat in no time.

Thank you for all you contribute.

Damn it man! That sucks. So sorry to hear about the truck, but very glad to hear you're ok.

You said the truck "was involved in a head on collision." Were you not driving? Just curious.

Anyway, let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Hopefully the turbo setup was not damaged!?

Ary

PS. If you decide to build something other then an 80 and it’s undamaged I want first shot at the Turbo. :flipoff2:
Sam

I kinda had a feeling this would be the feeling of alot of folks. She did stroke 300+ HP on a 4 wheel dyno.

However as fate would have it somebody was on the east coast and actually had dinner with me Tuesday night and strangely enough they asked if they could be put at the front of the line for that particular piece.............

Like I have said now the thinking process begins. Its been raining here for the past 3 days and I havn't hardly looked at the truck. Gonna do some assesment on the frame and such this weekend.

Might become the east coast short bus.................

Thanks Ken you know that means alot ot me.

Yes Ary I was driving. By myself thank God.

Walked away with some bruising and a few bloodied spots but thats about it.

On my first wheeling trip ever, I spent a lot of time watching this rig in my rearview mirror making quick work of what I'd just struggled across.

My condolences, Jamie, and I’m glad you’re okay.

The more I think about this the less I care about what happened to the truck. I'm just glad you're alright and weren't driving the civic at the time.

Thanks Ary,

yaa if it had been the civic my 'widow' would probably be posting a thread in the 4-sale section.

Thanks Felix,

the thoughts from all you guys are really appreciated. I'm gonna take some pics this weekend when the rain stops and I'll post the carnage. Its starting to be a little less painful and the thinking process as to what could come next is actually starting to excite me a little.

Yes the G8TR did make alot of things look easy. Unless your trying to follow Junk on a trail that he swore didn't look this way a year ago.............

Dat bastid.

Anyway I'm starting to feel a little better and if there are questions anyone does want to ask about the set up on the truck I will do my best to answer so don't feel like this is just a pity reffug thread.

The G8TR will rise again and it will be bigger and badder..........................

Just different.

Oh and after re-reading one mod I know I forgot to mention is my truck has the 45 gallon sub tank from OZ. I have cruised 900 miles without filling up before. Course it takes premium the damn alcoholic.

Okay, I give up. Why did you go with the two yellow-tops instead of red-tops? I had to get a new battery a couple of months ago, and got another red-top. Is the yellow better, and if so, why?

Beautiful rig. G8tr served you well til the end. I'm really sorry for your loss but, to reiterate everyone elses's sentiments, it wouldn't compare to the loss your family ( including us) would be left with. Not to sound like a total girl ( although I am one), your write up and the overwhelming outpouring of well wishes brought tears to my eyes. Glad you're okay and here to tell the tale. Hope you keep us posted on the aftermath and the thought processes. Keep positive, sir. Even when it hurts.

im glad to see you are ok. it makes me feel better about the safety of our rigs. your rig was a clean looking truck. very nice mods. i wish you the best for the future rig.

There are several different application yellow tops. If the outer case is a dark grey then it is a deep cell that is not intended for starting applications. If it is a light grey case then it is for deep cell applications as well as starting. By going to dual yellow's the system was also equalized across the board. Also the yellow seems to hold up better in trucks that arn't run on a regular basis and my truck was not a DD so for me it seemed to make the most sense.

Sides that I kinda like things to match....................

I would like to have seen it in action are there any videos lurking?? Great setup & congrats on the dyno numbers. I do have a couple questions.

1. What tires did you use on the dyno? I was thinking of using my Dads pre-runner street tires.

2. What do you have to control the addl injector/s?

3. What, besides the turbo has been the most useful mod?

Sorry about the truck and thanks for all your hard work & contributions to MUD!! -Andy

1. BFG AT KO's

2. The Blitz unit controls the Turbo and Injectors

3. At this point I would have to say the ARB. I wouldn't have said that previously.
