Too far north. Too far east.
Anybody use these? Anybody have an opinion? I'm looking at the 2 gal water containers.

I love my 5 gal Scepters, but they are getting way to heavy. Plus, I've never liked how they poured.

2 Gallon Water

no experience... seems too gear geeky to me but I'm cheap that way
i'm having good luck so far with one of these...
Reliance Rhino-Pak Heavy Duty Water Container
It can travel lying flat or on end. Pouring is the same old chore, but I think I only paid $17 for it at sportsmans outdoors

That is a 7 gallon container, yikes. What I use now is a 5 gallon cube with a spout, plus 1 or 2 Scepter 5 gallons. I use the Scepter to refill the cube. My thoughts were to downsize to the 2 gallon Rotopax. Those Scepters are hard to handle, and pour from.

And ya, I know the Rotropax are in the "off-road hip" category, but they also seem to fit my needs. I think they will also fit better on the roof rack when empty.

Are you going to modify your swing out bumpers with the fancy RotoPax mounts?

Super Siphon

Or if you want the water tank to live in place and fill pots, bottles etc at the tank: I run THIS.

Here's a good write-up on the product LINK

Jerry cans with spigot.webp
Not sure if you've ever seen my setup but I don't have to remove the jerry can for usage. If you an internal jerry can rack that's tall enough, you can leave it in there while you pour. The spigots are from coffee containers that you see all over. Just a thought.

This is a nice one Store ~ Living Overland

Although I wonder if the pump and the faucet is food grade like the scepter cans are. May not be a big deal to most I s'pose.

I saw that when I was looking around for solutions. I use my Scepter to refill my 5gal cube. The cube already has a spout and works very well for me. Pouring from the Scepter into the cube is the issue. The Scepter is heavy, and it doesn't stand on its side well because of the rounded edges.

Jury is still out an a solution.
