@Slow Left I know that it is good to add. I haven't ever added anything to my engine. I know, shameful, but I just change the oil and filter every time. I was previously always using Castrol GTX 10W-40. Nothing added. I thought switching to Delo was a better move.

I think I read someone was using some Risoline Zinc Additive. Walmart didn't have the zinc, but something else. I'll buy some for the next oil change if I can find it locally. I know I should care about it more, but there are always more engines... Although I am going to use this bottom end for a while longer. I'm sure it'll hold up just fine.

"...always more engines..." heh, heh.

Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to buy the Zinc additive at Advance Auto...it was like $15. I figure I'll run one more oil change with straight Delo LE (that will make 2 in a row), then switch to Spike Strip's recommendation and get the Shell Rotella something or other.

Oil is so dern expensive anymore, and Delo LE so cheap...

Happy Birthday to me!!

The :princess: surprised me with these. She got help from friends and family to research/ buy them. Thanks @Rockets2000 and @MaTm

Wet Okole seat covers for those of you unfamiliar with them. Also have the rear bench cover. I'll get a photo of that later. I didn't get to install them, but I heard it was a sweaty endeavor. The fit is great. A little added cushion too.

How are the Okole's in our heat and humidity??

I have a tuff duk cover on my drivers seat and although waterproof it is a recipe for swamp ass and wet back sweat after any extended time in the seat. It's going in the garbage can before next summer.

@Skniper I sweat easily. Even with the AC on. I don't mind the Okole's one bit. Haven't really noticed any swamp ass. If I'm sweaty before getting in the car, that's a different story. I'd rather the seat be waterproof than have it absorb in the seat. My SOR Tuff Duck covers weren't waterproof AFAIK, but they were old covers. These are miles past any other seat cover I've ever seen.

Happy Belated A... Looks like you got some good stuff for the cruiser for your bday. I got something for the cruiser but it was less involved. Are you on the 19th?

Did you ever get around to posting pics of the wet okoles installed?

You know what... I didn't. Oops.

Those are the best photos I have on hand at the moment.

Yes sir, the 19th. Thank you for the belated :)

Very nice ride man. Looking forward to using some of your pictures for reference. Sorry if I missed it, but after having the stock carb for a while now do you like it better than the Weber?

I do like it better than the Weber. AC Idle Up. A cooler air source. Got it working and that's all I needed to do. Simpler almost even though there is more stuff connected.

Now if only someone would buy that Weber

I was driving my 60 earlier and I started to have a weird idle. Stumbling. Sounded like it had a fat cam. Sure enough the vacuum gauge was reading 15. Usually 21 at idle.

Went under the hood, and the line going into the top port (the largest one) on the driver side VCV had come undone. Probably from bouncing around. The VCV isn't in the bracket thingy. It's just hung nicely by vacuum line. I guess I'll need to secure that better.

Just officially wrapped my steering wheel with 550 paracord.

100' of "Charcoal Gray" from Paracord Planet (Outdoor Bunker) on eBay. $7.99 shipped to my door.

I had roughly 33.5' remaining.

When I looked at the color online I thought it was going to match the steering wheel, but I think the color works. Gonna stick with it. Probably looks a little different in person too.

Just wanted to share :)

Thanks @mongoose2231 !

Here is a daytime picture of the steering wheel. Everybody loves pics!

Now I want a Tuffy Console....

It's just easy to justify... I want a CB radio... need a place to mount it... right?

@Cruising Canuck - I like the 8 inch. Visually the unit without the separate radio door compartment looks better. But the usefulness of the two doors sort of makes it okay.
