Awesome! I just killed almost two hours watching those.

Why don't we get shows like that in the US?!?!

Dan

These are excerpts from the dvd that comes with 4WD Action magazine. Unfortunately overseas subscribers dont get the dvd.
But you can watch them all for free on utube :D

Wait till you see and hear the rebuilt 13BT;)

Got to hang out with Roothy and Milo and even get a look at the fresh 13bt.. pity i didn't get to take pics..

John did mention that it doesnt seem to warm up at alll.. he has to use blinds on the radiator to get it up to operating temp.. is this normal?

no... I guess the thermostat is stuck open. Even in -20 my 3b reluctantly warms up.

Roothys vids are a blast to watch.... Thanks Rosco!

I like his cooking segments the best :) He eats like I do. Curry and beers.

When were out the first time he wasn't sure if there was a thermostat in there but on the 2nd shoot it was in there.. and even then it still sat on dead cold.. driving 2hrs to get to the shoot and home..

then I am likely to believe it's in the indication side of things. The gauge/sender must be pooched. No way it's completely cold with a thermostat in there. A fresh engine should be even warmer than a broken in one, as the friction is higher.

When my 3b is running on low idle it will go pretty cool though, but it still has some heat to it.

I forgot:o. They are piling up ,maybe 7-8 here now . Will get them off tomorrow ;)

I would have like to have seen Roothy put the 13BT into the red HJ45 he has been driving while Milo is being rebuilt.
Im a big fan of the custom made tray and tub he has on the rear of this 45.
Those spare tyres sit right where you need them.

Great pics. I hear they are heading over my way ,so maybe Ill get to hang out with them for a weekend:D

I would be a litle worried about it running too cool. If its not the thermostat, it might be something inside the water jacket causing a blockage

Everything in those two films explain everything you need to do with any vehicle. Maintaining it properly, but also driving it with care will make any well made vehicle last several life times.
