I have been researching roof racks for over a year now. Many options for a 100s. I am looking for lower profile, to accommodate awning, spare tire and some recovery gear. What is everyone here using if you have a roof rack?

If you're handy with a measuring tape, can turn a wrench, and want to save major cash, DIY! Here are two ongoing threads:

This ironman rack is intriguing as an affordable option, but currently out of stock:

Front Runner....I installed a Bajarack on mine a couple years back, and although it has definitely served its purpose after modifications, I wish now that I had gone with a Front Runner rack, simply due to the adjustable crossbars and low profile. It wasn't until I added a RTT and lost storage space that I realized I wish I would have went with a Front Runner.

Gamiviti is a great design and very customizable. I have a Baja flat rack which I got a great deal on (Black Friday Sale).
Baja is low profile, fits in the garage, have an awning on it, very strong, have their two gas can mount up there.
Shipping costs may be be a factor unless you are up for a road trip to Colorado (Gamiviti) or San Diego (Baja).

I'd love to hear someone chime in or show some pics of the previous ARB rack model. I am ready to pull the trigger on one but theres not much info out there. It's a 44x44 basket style rack which I prefer. A bit too small for a set of maxtrax unless they overhang.

Anyone out there with the 44x44 ARB rack / basket ?

Bowfin cruisers makes a nice aluminum rack. I have it on my LX470. All the cross bars are adjustable. It is contoured to the 100 series roofline so even though the top is flat the bottom fills in the gap that a Regular flat Bottom Rack would leave.
Also I might be partial because my Lexus is on his website lol.

Do you have pics of your Baja rack and rig loaded? I live in San Diego maybe Baja is an option I should consider.

thank you! Front Runner is my top choice. the slim line 2, i believe. I hear that the front runners though are not a true full length rack. Prisnu makes a very nice roof rack for a 100s and has a video on their site of the entire installation, plus it is designed to allow full use of the sunroof (open AND tilt). I am between Prisnu and Front Runner. now. Thanks on your reply!

Gamiviti 1000% Best rack in the biz IMO. Very modular design and can be configured for all sorts of differing setups. The side ladder Tim produces for the rack is a serious bonus. The plastic grid panels he sells can be snapped on and off easily and make both a fantastic tie down setup as well as ground grates outside your tent entrance (keeps dirt, mud, sand etc from being tracking into your tent). Once I unload the rack at basecamp, I unsnap one of the grid panels and put it on the ground at the entrance to my tent. I LOVE that he offers a complete 8 tower setup that utilizes all 8 mounting points on the 100 Series platform. That maximizes your static load capacity and adds a significant safety advantage regarding dynamic load capacity. Best part is, you support a super cool dude (Tim) who has in turn supported our 100 community for a LONG time. It is a low profile BTW.
