Roof rack options

Well I just got rid of my 100 and bought a 200 ! I had an AO full roof rack on my 100 that I loved! What are some options for the 200?

I have been looking as well. Haven't seen to many that I like. Doesn't seem Gobi makes one. Slee has a Baja one that I like the best so far.

I like the look of he gobi stealth best. When I talked to them last they said they were working on one for the 200.

Email them and get them moving on it. I'll keep working on them too.

Get BajaRack. It's simply the best and John @ Bajarack can even fabricate low profile mounts plus LED mounts for you; just like mine. More pics later in my thread.

maujkar, are you able to fully open your sunroof w the BajaRack? I have read about sunroof issues. I do have the mega mule BajaRack but looking to upgrade to factory mount vs mega mule rack mount. Thanks!

That is a great looking rack (and rig!). Would hate to lose the use of the sunroof though.

My mega mule is attached to the factory crossbars and I don't have any issues with the sunroof.

They have something for the 100 series, but a while back he was in the 200 section saying something about doing one for our rig. What I like is the low profile build and customizability. If I had the cash and need right now, I'd slap one of those on with a long rigid led light across the front and a couple rigid led spots on the back.

Do NOT get a Baja Rack if you live anywhere that it rains. My brand new Baja rusted out in less than 9 months in Portland, OR. Also, the flat feet damage our curved roofs (compress 6 flat spots after being bolted down). I got an estimate for $3.5K to repair my roof after removing my Baja Rack.

DO get the FrontRunner. It's not even a close call in engineering, construction, materials, etc. Well worth the extra $200. Also, their are zillions of accessories for the FrontRunner that the Baja Rack does not.

Proceed at your own risk with the Baja Rack on the 200. They simply don't have the bugs figured out on our ride. They actually removed our vehicle's option from their website after they refunded me on it last month.

Wow! That sucks. I had mine up in Washington and Alaska and didn't have any major rust issues. Sorry to hear about your problems.

If you liked the AO rack, then look at the FrontRunner. We have them in stock and have installed quite a few on the 200. They are a similar style than the AO with aluminum extrusions that accept hardware in channels to attach parts to. Also uses a track on the roof like the AO to mount.

Thanks for the info Christo! I got a ton of use out of that AO and loved it. Just one of the things I miss about my 100. The FrontRunner website looks impressive - think I might have found my roof rack!
