damn, I went to catch that last one and noticed an 80 qt was available. Putzed around there reading for two minutes and went back to the smaller one and the one left was gone! 80 QT is too big...66 LBs empty weight.

There are 2 80qts available. Too big for me.....

I'm glad I stayed the course for the 63. I almost bought the 80 because it was all they had. The 63 is right on the verge of being to big as it is.

80qt would fit well in an expo van or a RV. Don't think I'd like it as much in the installation I have.

I almost grabbed an 80 too, glad my wallet was light and the 63 showed up a day later.

Got mine yesterday. Only "scratch" I could find was a scuff on the lid. Will commence testing tonight, but I expect good things :D

Did you get one of the 80's? I'd like to see some pics of that beast in a 60.

No, I got a 43qt.
Ah, well that is a bit smaller.:) I think with a family of 4, going for usually 3-4 days, that the 43 is too small, the 80 is too big, but the 63 will be just right. The Goldilocks of fridges if you will. I shall keep my daily ritual of checking the site.

My 63q went through it's first test this past weekend. Stayed on for 4 straight days in Big Bend set at 35. No problem with the rough roads at all or draining batteries. Batteries never went below 12.7. It also stayed very quiet while I slept in the back. Now that I know it works I brought it inside to scrub off the desert dust and add stickers.

With battery voltage not dropping below 12.7 Can we assume you have your solar hook up?

Yes but we were always driving around most of the day. I did see around .5 amps in the morning and afternoon and 4.5 amps during peak sun. I have no clue if that is the norm. Need to do some research.

Does anybody know if this would work in a 24v system?

Cool I was curious cause in description it says:
  • 12/24 volt power lead: 6' detachable power cord

Sounds normal if you are using a 100W set up
