Anyone have a solution for the tire carrier buffeting against the back door?
You mean it is not latching securely and flexing into the hatch when both closed?

Greetings, is this all that is used to attach the side mounts to the frame?

This is where @KLF installed his:

Mine I used here at 1st

But like i PM'd you, I ended up putting these 1" bushings in to get my wings more level (def not what others did...but end result has been fine).

Hey there, was there this much of a gap around the roadvision lights on your bumper as well?

Can go take a picture of it closed showing the latch and arm? And of the gap to the hatch?

what happens when you grab the arm when locked and shake it? Does it move At all?

Welp, I have the car prepped for bumper install tomorrow, but upon taking the rear apart I noticed the frame had a bit of rust. I proceeded to wirewheel, surface prep, and paint the rear of the frame.

Better than new, nice work! 1 heads up. Some people have had to grind some of the frame welds in order to get the main bumper brackets to be able to slide far enough in and outwards on the hitch. Mine, did not have that issue. But a few months later when i helped put @Mineral s bumper on, we did have to grind a couple of spots on the welds to get those brackets. So hopefully not, but just good to have in mind

Yes! I had to do some grinding on those welds to get the bolt holes lined up for the stock recovery points. Phew, im glad you said something.

Edit : I suck at reading as multiple people have mentioned that in previous posts. Doh.

Thank you sir. I guess I'll see where it goes as i have a dual swing out, and I thought the license plate would bolt up to my jerry can basket.
Yeah I didn’t get a license plate frame. I just have mine on my Jerry basket. Had it zip tied in my spare for a while before.

Was I sent two of the same brackets for the same side?
Hmmmmm. Interesting. It is looking that way.For me, that’s the one I put on the PS. That vertical side support is just for strength, so try moving the one you show in the back of your picture over to the DS and see if the holes line up. Maybe he just welded that vertical piece on the wrong side of the base. Here is a pic of mine, but again, others have swapped left/right and/or flipped upside down also, no solid concrete answer which is for sure correct

Brilliant.
Yeah I just looked at your previous pre paint photo and your 2 wing supports look identical. They should be a mirror image of each other. So, any ideas? All I can think is if you find which one lines up with the frame holes you want to use and bolt that on. Then see if you could take measurements and drill new holes in the other support to try to match the same position? Could relatively swap out the one bracket later after you get a correct one. I’d think you could do without needing to take the bumper off.
