Sorry if I missed earlier in the thread, but how do you guys attach these wing cover plates? I bought some short stainless M8 bolts with nylock’s today. Planned to drill 3 holes on each side. Problem is there is no way to access the inside once the plate is on so I don’t know how to hold the nut. What am I missing?

I used nutserts. Doing it again I would recommend the plastic clips like they use in the wheel wells. There are many different head styles and they are inexpensive and just require drilling a thru hole.

No I didn't, he was good enough to do a couple of extra things on mine so didn't want to complain or bug him. Only thing that was goofy was he put 12mm studs on for mounting the tire instead of 14mm so I have a spare mounted with 3 odd lugs.

The wing fills are just bent thin angle aluminum. Easy to make (if you have a brake) and light to ship. Why not ask him to bend up a extra set next time he’s fabbing a bumper @RET2?

I bought my bumper used and there were no filler panels included. When I called James to ask him about something unrelated, I mentioned the plates and he said "no problem, I'm making a few sets today, I'll send you a pair". Got em about a week later.

I attached mine with 10-32 threaded nutserts and stainless cap screws. It came out really nice, there's a thread on here somewhere that I showed how with lots of pictures, and the mudflaps I made.

can you take a slightly zoomed out photo of your passenger side mounting plate? yours is the only one i saw with left/right side plates switched sides. I tried to do this myself, but passenger side inner fender had some hard plastic that i couldn't line the holes up because the plastic prevented my from pushing bracket forward. this is the only photo i saw of yours in that area, but it's too close for me to see how you avoid the plastic in front.. Nice work on the level.

worked pretty good using the body/trim clips. also nice they are easy to remove if i ever want to clean back there. mud flaps i was able to trim the factory ones and tuck behind. used some factory holes, drilled a couple additional holes in fender plastic. used more body clips for this as well.

Here ya go, hope this helps. I do remember now that we did have to trim a little off the fender liner, down at the bottom, and I had to snip a postage stamp sized piece of sheet metal off the body, you can see where I coated it with black RTV to keep it from rusting.

Geez those bolts look a lot rustier than then really are.

awesome man, makes perfect sense now. You completely trimmed that black inner plastic so you could get the passenger side mounting plate under it, so far forward, to line up with the 2 lower frame holes. like i said, your the only one i saw with the wing plates in this configuration (left/right). yours must have had the same holes drilled in them as mine. Well, maybe if i get inspired in the future I'll take out my spacers, switch left/right sides and try your method. looks like it worked out great.

anybody have any pics of your Resonator delete with this bumper? I'm getting mine cut off tomorrow, and could use some ideas on best way to route the new pipe. I'm assuming id have my shop cut just to the rear of the hanger?

I'd like to see some pics or videos of those with resonator deletes. IMO, the biggest eyesore on the entire 200 and the worst design behind the original starter motor. I am looking into more permanent mods. I am very tempted to just chop it off and run high tucked pipes. The resonator does...

Your bumper will take the impact of obstacle departure smacks if you run the exhaust straight back. Out to the side it could possibly get crunched. Really depends on what you do and where you go with the truck. Thats my opinion. Take that as you will.
