Don't ask me how I found this but I noticed that there is a tear in the boot at the firewall. I met up with a friend last night and confirmed mine isn't right. I have 1,000 miles left on my extended warranty and I'm wondering if Toyota will cover this.
I'm trying to track down a slight clunk that I feel in the steering wheel between 20&40 mph on left turns. Definitely feels like a roll bar end link but those are new and all bolts are confirmed torqued. I'm at my wits end until I ran across a thread on the intermediate steering shaft on a tundra forum.
Please check yours and let me know if anyone experienced anything similar.
First pic is mine

Mine looks more like your friend's:

Looks to me like you have a problem - Toyota should fix this under the extended warranty.

Good luck.
