Ok, everyone knows that the LC brakes suck so i decided with that said and a TRD supercharger along with steel front and rear bumpers that I needed to upgrade my brake system. I bought highend 8 piston calipers along with 16" slotted and drilled rotors.

here is where the problem begins. i have the 17" TRD rock warrior rims and the rotors and calipers would fit mint but the rims have a taper or a lip that go around the inside of the rim. We were thinking of milling that lip out to fit the rotor but there is not enough material.

SO, I want to stick with toyota OEM rims, whether they are tundra, steelies or whatever. does anyone know if any toyota 17" OEM rim is flat going across the inside of the rim or is big enough to hold a 16" rotor

that being said, i'll have 5 TRD rock warrior rims for sale once i find rims that fit.

a little eye candy.

Damn those calipers are sweet!!!

I'd guess you may have to move up to 18" wheels... when I fitted my RWs this past weekend, I was shocked at how little brake clearance there is on the front wheels.

If memory serves, TRD says we are stuck with 18" rims when using those calipers - 17" will not fit.

HTH

i really don't want to as my tires are 6 months old.

You got the supercharger on your rig? Who did the work? Pics?

Bumpers, too? More pics?

any have pics of 18' type of rims on a 200? I'll be powder coating them black or dark grey

I have 5 OEM 18" wheels/tires sitting in my garage that just came off of a 2016... tires have about 2600 miles on them, but they're the OEM tires.

This is an online photo I found, but these are the same ones I have.

Your OE 18" wheels are awesome. Just use those. Get them powder coated if needed.

The "rock warriers" are goofy.

If you can find an 18" wheel built with good clearance, like the 17" TRD RW, the largest rotor you will squeeze in is a 15" unit. I'm not sure that wheel exists... But it would be excellent if it could be found or produced. I have faaaaar to much time invested in brake research... Found some neat items that were oh so close to being the problem solver, but there was always something in the way, usually relating to cost, that pushed the price up out of range. Good luck with this, I hope you prove me wrong. :D

the 18" wheel will fit the 16' rotor for sure. The 17" TRD was a frogs hair too small because of the lip inside it

i actually agree with you on the rock warriors. not a huge fan but didn't want to throw cash to get new rims AND tires but looks like i don't have a choice.

going with this rim (tundra rim) with 35x11.50 Nitto Grapplers --- rims will be the same color as these too
