i've had to come to the grim realization that isabel won't be at rubithon this year. personal and medical problems that have arisen in the last week need to take presidence at this point.

but it's not all bad news. i will be going to rubithon as a co-pilot, most likely in rustynut's tube buggy.

i'll try to do some more work on the cruiser on monday and will post an update and pics then. stay tuned.

Sorry to hear that Georg.....Hope that all works out.....Reemeber that your health and your family comes first.....

Sorry to hear that georg. If help makes any difference i could give ya 2 good days and lots of booger weldz. Hope all is well or getting better with the personal and medical , remember all the good karma you spread comes back to you in times like you are in . see ya thurs. morn and you still are on the hook for donuts....

pig run should be doable, especially since i won't be going to europe for vacation as originally scheduled.

Stretcthing the spring doesn`t do anything for the steering pump.
Here in denver, one of the steering rebuild shops(they rebuild steer boxes, pumps, rack and pinion steering and hydro boost stuff) told me that the shims in the valve is what makes the pressure difference. By changing them, that changes the pressure, but only do this if you have a shop that test your valve before you put it back in, you can make the pressure to high, and blow up the pump, This shop here in Denver can check valves, I will be pulling mine out next week to up the pressure, and I will have them check the valve.

at this point I do not think it is a rig thing .
Donut boy will be there tho. , I'll make the coffee fresh on the spot.

All the best Georg, family is number one.

Really enjoying the build, your detail and a clean workmanship shows you to be a true craftsman.

thanks rob and everybody else.

i will get back into the build soon. managed to finish the rad support/cooler mount on saturday and sent it off to get powdercoated today. guy owes me a favor so i'm gonna call it in.

going to the hammers in 10 days for some R&R with rustynuts and his tube buggy. the weekend after that we'll be at rubithon in the same rig, unless we fawk it up too bad at JV.

George! Nooo!!! I wish I could help. Sorry to hear about the build, but atleast the 55 run isnt far off. Its deffinitely my plan B at this point too. Atleast you can take a breather and go at a sane pace now that the deadline is more realistic.

cheers-
Dustin
