Let me share one of my wrecking yard finds, go source a clutch fan off a 3.8 T bird, late 80's , 7 blades, reverse rotation, 17" I think, and fits the FJ shroud like a glove....... :D :D

HERE IS THE FAN......SWEET.

Yes but you can use the GM clutch, the Ford fan will bolt right on it.

gonna head out to pnp in a few minutes to do some scouring.

we just got home from rustynut's wedding, great time, still hung over. but right now i'm as happy as a puppy with two peters cause there was a box from BTF waiting for me on my doorstep. finally got my high steer arms and front 60 U-bolt kit so i'll be installing those later today, if i can find the energy to do so. pics to follow soon. :)

could'nt wait to mess with the arms, so pnp is gonna have to wait till tomorrow.
couple of install pics:

and a shot of the finished passenger side. still have to install the grease fitting, but i won't do that until pretty much everything else on the vehicle is done. they break off way too easily while installing the axle in the rig.
and if anybody thinks they can "build" a dana 60 front for under $2-3k, dream on! these suckers add up in a hurry.

They do get pricey quick, but it is worth it.

word. i don't even want to know how much money i wasted way back when trying to keep my d44 alive.

you're absolutely correct nolan.

kinda like when people bitch about the price of a mog axle. sure a d60 is beefy, but you gotta spand some money on em to make em just close to as strong as a stock 404.
