i then took of on wednesday to invest some time in my future job and did'nt get back home until thursday afternoon. on the way home my mind started to wander and i came up with my final plan for the cross member/skid plate and i'm really happy with it. probably won't happen for a while but maybe i'll even think of some improvements meanwhile.

i got home mid-day and wanted to get something done but once again did'nt know where to start so i figured maybe mounting the 37" MTRs on my allieds would cheer me up some. and it did. 4 hours and a lot of sweat later (over 100degs again most of the day) i had all four tires on the rims thanks to some helpful hints and hands on help from my buddy fc187. that fawker knows what he's doin'.
called it a night after that cause i had to clean up the garage and do some more work on the house and yard.
make me smile everytime i see them:

Great to see someone still workin on thier stuff....I have been at a stand still for a few weeks I hope to get back on it after going away with teh family next week...I really wanna drive my truck to Pismo this year...any other cross member pics...That is the next project...Thanks

i do not want to post any cross member pics yet cause it's not done and i don't really have any good pics yet. i will be at work next week until thursday, then it's off to rubicon for the "55 run". but, the week after that i will be finishing the x-member, or at least most of it and will be posting a series of pics.

PS: we need to work something out on your wagon! my future job will allow me to wrench on stuff. ooops, was that a hint?!

since thursday is my last day at work, i will be heading up to rubicon for the pig run on friday and then hang out till sunday. looks like i'll be riding shotgun with lou in his 40. i'll see you up there for sure.

i'm really thinking about making the trip. i love roadtrips and want to check out lots of new places and do a lot of wheeling in the next year, so texas should definetly fit that bill. hmmm, better start thinking about a co-pilot. toploader?!
