Anyone have experience with Retro Sounds radios, they look like the belong in a 40 and they have a model that fits.
Thanks,

Nice, South American truck so no heater?I have one and love it! Put it in a few weeks ago and the quality is very good. Also put in the spector kick panel speaker boxes to go along with it. I did not want to do any cutting. Bluetooth hooks up very fast to the phone if you like to use Pandora and phone microphone hasn't got any complaints from when I am talking hands free.

Can you get some more pictures of the radio installed in the dash and maybe some of the speakers installed?I have one and love it! Put it in a few weeks ago and the quality is very good. Here's a shot from SOR's website. While it is a clean install (looks like you have to drill a couple of holes), as far as sound quality goes it won't be great since it is not enclosed. Doors act as the enclosure for speakers mounted in them. You could put a small foam baffle behind it which would help some - like this: XTC 5-1/4" Speaker Baffles (Slim-line: 2-1/2" depth) . Would also help protect the speaker from the elements some when your kick vent is open. I just went with a cheap water proof speaker that has its own enclosure and mounted them under the dash and low on the roll bar in the back. And of course an 8" subwoofer under the driver's seat to really improve the sound quality. Some will argue that sound quality isn't that critical as the inside of a 40 isn't exactly acoustically ideal. But some of those deficiencies can be overcome.

how did you fasten your kick panels?RetroSound Model 2 in mine. speakers installed with SOR kick panels shown in @ginmtb post above. Also some "motorcycle" type speakers attached to the roll bar. Actually sounds pretty good for a non-insulated tin can with a tractor motor.

I honestly didn't know what to order. Based on this SOR diagram, they somehow put a 4 1/2" diameter hole within a square that is only 3 11/16 wide. Must be magic, not sure how that works.
