I didn't realize they are also somehow Tier IV engines without DEF, a DPF, or required regen. Most any diesel engine over 25 hp in the US has at least one of those. But, as long as parts are available in the future, such a simple vehicle would probably last a very long time.

Tier IV has easier limits as HP is reduced. The breaks are at 75 and 25.5hp. There's a couple even lower levels that I can't remember. Above 75hp the most common tech is EFI, DOC+DPF, EGR and DEF. A few tractors don't have the DPF and DEF. Between 25.5 and 75 the most common is EFI with a DOC+DPF and regens. Some have EFI, DOC and EGR with no regens. A few have MFI, DOC+DPF. Below 25.5hp they can meet the requirements with MFI and just injection timing and combustion chamber design. I have a 37hp Branson tractor that uses MFI and a DOC+DPF, with no regens. It's been great for me but I know people who live where it gets really cold and who just use the tractor for 10 minutes at a time to feed a round bale who have had the DPF clog. The newer models kept the MFI but added a way to do a regen.

Mahindra tractors when I was looking at them were EFI, DOC and EGR, no regen. I wasn't all that happy with the build quality or the need to reflash the ECU to update it but maybe those have improved.

DOC- diesel oxidation catayst
MFI- mechanical fuel injection

Where's a good source to get one of those Mahindra Roxors?

I ended up going with a gear drive 24.7 HP-Yanmar powered John Deere 3 series as it was $5K cheaper than a comparable Kubota, it has no DPF/regen, and the ECU just controls the throttle (injector pump is mechanical). At least with the Yanmar diesels in the JD and other tractors, they seem to have DPF when they exceed the 25 HP threshold.

My particular tractor was built in India like a Mahindra, but at an actual John Deere factory, and my local dealer stocks just about everything for it. Most of my use is <30 minutes - basically using the tractor to move something, although I've had quite a few 10-hour days on it as well cleaning up and grading my property. So, skipping the emissions controls was definitely a plus. Although, $900 will buy a chip that supposedly bumps it to 32 horsepower or so. Maybe someday when I'm done modding my GX.

A number of powersports (i.e, ATV, side-by-side) and power equipment (i.e., lawn mowers, tractors) dealers sell them. I'm sure there is one in your area somewhere. Our local Bobcat dealer carries them, although I've only seen a few on the trails/backroads around here.

Good call. We've got quite a few powersports shops around here are you can imagine.

The Roxor has several negatives I looked at them when they first came out. The suspension and ride suck if you spend any amount of time off road or rough roads in them. Simple washboards will knock your eye teeth down to your piss sack is a good description. A FJ, Taco, T4R or GX is a much better ride but those pale in comparison to a Ranger or Pioneer.

They are half a ton heavier than a Ranger or Pioneer as well. If you know then you know why that is important.

If I was going diesel in a UTV I'd do what the SAR teams do around here. If I only had the money for one LOL.

The few diesel SxSs seem to all be slow short suspension travel farm vehicles. Which is ok if that's where it will be used!
What I'd like for my farm would be an electric SxS. All the driving we do is short trips that don't let the engine run at full operating temperature for long. Being a lot quieter would be nice as well. But the few electric SxSs out there now seem to all be $30k high performance models. I don't need long range or high speeds on a farm. Polaris made a reasonable cost electric with led acid batteries for a while. But they upgraded it with lithium batteries and raised the price considerably.

I thought this Chinese Kandi model ($17.5k) rated well for the few reviews I saw
