Hey buddy, just started doing the resto on my blower motor, is there supposed to be a spring on the flap door or something?

No. I thought the same thing. What hooks to that flapper is the pull cable. It opens and closes it. I can shoot a pic of how the cable loop slips over a little piece in the flapper. Did I make any sense?

Yep figured it out, hate to bother you on Easter but if you can give me a quick call I promise not to take more than 5 minutes of your time- Don

Time for a little update. Everyone loves pictures. So to bring us current I have the fuel lines all hooked up...still have to add the emissions lines etc, I have the steering column all done and the steering wheel all painted and ready to go back on.

I also got the plumbing all in for the rear heater. Got the rear tail lights in and all my wiring hooked up. Next up is getting the windshield screws cranked down and then I am taking it in for exhaust. Then we will hang the fenders.

Little update. Fenders are on and I just need to make my final alignment tweeks now that the hood is on. The goal for this week is to get the hard top dropped off at the boat shop for new gel coat and put my front doors together. I also need to make my decisions on the front seats.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

So next I am going to post some pics of how I found this old warrior. Maybe to inspire some of you wondering if it can be done. This one should have been a parts rig at best.

You shouldn't have done that, now it's obvious you just used a little compound and filler:grinpimp:

New floor pan. New outer sills. New wheel wells. New outside quarters. New rear sill and new inner bed. Oh and new front fenders and rear cross member. So yeah. A little compound called cash and more cash.

The bib kick vents and hood made it to paint and the rear barn doors. I found some rust free front doors and hard top so I sold the ole yellow one. Now you see why it would have made a better parts rig. But I didn't know any better and couldn't wait to get a 40.

Another update. We are moving back to Iowa in two weeks. So I have been working like crazy to finish the 40.

I have all new oem window seals and hard top and doors. I completely rebuilt the front doors already and now I'm working on getting the glass in the hard top. Then the rear doors. I'm still waiting on my hard top to be painted. Then I have a new head liner to install.

I should have completed pictures in two weeks. Minus front seats and a 4 plus rear tire carrier.
