wait...... how come you changed out axles if you are still running the 60 axles? why didnt you just swap tires? help!

.... Sorry Gents.... seems IH8MUDD has maxed my photo upload limit. Anyone know how to request more storage? Between the photos on my RastaRig buildup and this one ... I'm sitting in at 9.32MB. And, that's after resizing all of them prior to upload.

I have some really good ones coming.... no way to show ya though :(

Not gonna let that happen, man.:smokin: Email 'em to me, I'll PM my Email.

But, to answer your question, the storage gets upped when you buy one a those Silver Stars...

Upgrade storage to silver star or host the pictures with a service like picasa and link them in.

Those are FJ60 axles going into the cumminscruiser, the FJ62 axles your thinking about are in the FJ40. The next build will be the 4BT in a '73 FJ40.
Okay, so we just swapped tires from the old 60 but kept Nellie's axles as they were originally on it? The axles from the old 60 were actually 62's and are just laying around waiting for the 40 rebuild, no?

(see guys & gals... that's why it's good to be working on MANY different vehicles at same time ... it's way funner for juggling your facts & trying to set them straight.... should have seen today's mini Driveline Pandemonium confusion with Mike's 40)

I'll correct my comments in the 33 Steps

How does the FJ60 drivetrain hold up to the torque coming from the cummins engine? I have a lead on a nice engine.

The main thing you have to remember when driving the landcruiser with a Diesel is you dont dive it like it is a gas engine. The 2f engine has about 210 ft lbs of torque and this 6bt ('89) has about 400 lbs of torque, and so far after 15 years the drive train has done real well have had to replace the a couple U joints because of improper shifting.

P.S. This is Cumminscruisers Son. Soon to be putting a 4bt 3.3L into a '77 fj40
