Ok, went to NAPA and got a strap wrench, V belt gauge, stubby ratcheting wrench. I have to get in touch with cdan for the fan clutch and the four nuts.

I did not get a box wrench. Will I be able to fit the stuby ratcheting with a regular socket?

Will I need anything for this particular job?

Two things nobody mentioned:

1) Get four replacement nuts when you get the clutch. Those nuts like to round off.

The nuts are 6mm X 1.0 thread.

The foam sealing the top of the shroud to the support was deteriorated on mine, I used foil tape instead.

Ok, so I am getting ready for the job. The fan clutch will be here Wed PM.
[Shroud]
I found the two bolts for the shroud. I took them out, applied anti seize and put them back.
[Alternator]
I found the two bolts that hold the alternator. The pivot one was loose. For now I made it tighter but I have access and I understand what needs to be done to loosen the belts

[Fan clutch nuts]
The problem is the 4 nuts.
First I tried 10mm 11mm and 12mm. The 12mm fit but it is loose. I am afraid it will strip the nuts. What is the correct size? 12mm?

Second I can’t get a grip on the pulley. It turns when I put pressure on the nut. What is the secret to hold the pulley from turning?

TIA

I bet the bolts have been replaced at some point. Mine are 13mm now, you might try a craftsman wrench if you aren't already, they seem to fit bolts on these vehicles better than other brands. Break the nuts free while the belt is still under tension, or find a way to hold the pulley with a screw driver, just be careful.

The previous owner of my cruiser cut the shroud in the perfect spot, and just large enough to get my wrist and forearm in a workable position to get those 4 nuts off. I wish I had done it to my previous cruiser.

Success.
Per Rick, I held the pulley with a screwdriver stuck between two nuts. Although I have the 12 point 12mm it proved to be good, accept that I needed to extend it with a big box range as leverage. All nuts broke loose with a big thud, but once broke loose it was finger tip to remove.

I removed each one seperatly, applied anti siezed, and put it back together. This should be a piece of cake when the part arrive.

Anything I should be concerned with the anti siezed at that location?

Today I got the fan clutch from cdan.
Since I already took everything a part yesterday, I was ready for assembly.
Transferred the plastic fins to the new blue.
Put it back together into the car using new 12mm nuts.
Got the belt tight per FSM directions.
Put back the shroud, battery tray, battery.
Reconnected battery and Slee's electric harness.
And whala, everything just worked.
I really had a good time doing this project.
Thanks for everyone's helped.

Since I did it as preventing maintenance, I have the aftermarket fan clutch and the old 12mm nuts are still good. Hopefully it will help someone some day.
