Carbureted 1FZ
I’m not getting any power to what I believe should be the wires going to the ICV and choke. Since this harness seems to be a freestyle wiring situation with lots of disconnected connectors and hastily wrapped electrical tape, is there a way to wire the idle control valve and the choke so I can get this thing running? I do want to patch it to the fuse block and back to wherever the source of the voltage is eventually, but without a wiring diagram and with limited knowledge of auto electrics, it would be a nearly insurmountable hunt-and-peck expedition.
Hanging down from the dash, right next to the fuse block is a three-wire connector (photo) that isn’t plugged into anything. All three wires going to it have switched 12v power. Could I run one (or two) out to the carb with an in-line fuse to at least give me the ability to get this thing operating? I’ve read in the 60-series forum that folks often rewire the ICV to another switched source and ground it to the carb body. Not sure if that may apply to the 1FZ.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!
