Need to replace my rack as it is leaking

The part number is 44250-60010 or 44250-60011 depending on the year of the chassis. I need to check when mine was. The break is before and after 08/1997 and mine is a 97

I’m not seeing any oem toyota ones but some aftermarket. Has anyone had any experience with any of them and can vouch for the quality?

Well for better or worse I ordered one from alibaba for like $300. It’s probably a pos but I can’t really find a oem one sub 800-1000

A local guy said he “might” be able to rebuild it if the seals are the same as the t4r for $400. I might take the oem one to him and keep it as a spare

-60011 is a supersession of -60010. -60010 is no longer manufactured. -60011 is the only thing you’ll be able to get.

Ownership of a non-US LC only gets **more** expensive the older it gets.

$800-1000 for a OEM rack is a great price and rivals what OEM racks are here in the States for USDM Land Cruisers.

I think in short order you’ll be doing this twice and spending double the money for parts and labor.

I just replaced mine with OEM. Not cheap, but worth the peace of mind. Planning to rebuild my old one using OEM kit.

There’s quite a bit of slop in my old one. The new rack really made a difference in steering feel but I’ll keep the oem rack and rebuild it if this one fails.

Apparently I did a poor job of centering the rack.

Rather than removing the rack to clock it I am thinking the easy way might be have the rack aligned centered with the steering wheel crooked and remove the steering wheel and re clock the wheel.
