I would think the cost from an installer would be cost prohibitive. Also, he's smart for not wanting to get near cutting up the factory wire harness.

It was about $30, very well designed but it is specific to the Wavecore 6.5" since its mounting holes don't naturally line up on the factory enclosure. I 3d printed a simpler adapter and have a couple extra if anyone wants one. See here on eBay...

I got some armrests from another Mudder, but haven't replaced them yet. They did dry up a little, but are now a little sticky-crusty instead of oily-sticky.

while in there, might be wise to tighten the window to regulator clamp screws. will mitigate and clunking sound as window goes up or down into a stop.

Do not hold fan with hand or stick while starting. Turn by hand engine off. It will have a little resistance at first. It should not just free spine, but will spin easier with each rotation by hand. When staring cold, you'll hear a turbo sound...

Have someone start the car and rev it while you hold the fan, don't grab it while it's running. Find something to hold it in place and then test it again. Since you didn't post mileage it's possible that the fan bracket may start to fail also...

Stick a piece of wood in the fan and hold it while someone starts the truck. The fluid coupling will allow the fan to remain stationary as the belt turns. At least that's the theory. When my fan bracket when bad, it sounded like the engine...

Maybe there is nothing wrong, and what you are hearing is just a normal fan noise disengaging after a few seconds. :hmm:

Worth taking to a mechanic then. I always listen for strange noises and general changes, it's saved me from some costly repairs in the past. Trust the intuition and get it checked out.

Bad pulley bearings will roar and change pitch with RPMs. With it running, spray some brake cleaner at each pulley bearing to see if one quiets down.

Why are you running an AGM battery on a non AGM charging system (I think)? Did they say if the battery had a dead cell? How did they test the alternator? One of those electronic gizmos? You said it tested perfect, did they give you a print out...
