Is there a good OEM replacement for the cotter pin clamp (8712428030), I just realized I ordered a bunch of these (working off a parts list) for my heater hose update an they look like a PIA and apparently need an SST.

thanks,
Scott

Thanks Rusty Marlin, but am looking for an OEM clamp from Toyota.

just use these, any Toyota dealer sells them

Toyota sells them but I don’t recall the part number specifically, but I think it's 90467-21010 which is a 3/4" constant torque clamp for 4runners. You don’t want to use the pin style as they are a PITA.

It’s about 26mm open.

I bought some of those clamps by mistake so I used four of them on the hoses going to the heater control valve. I used a pick to turn the cotter pin thing until it seemed tight. Figured if they leaked it was in a visible area and easy to replace. 5+ years later they are still there with no leaks.

There is zero reason to use the cotter pin style clamps when you can get an OEM constant tension spring clamp. I've replaced all of the pin clamps on my truck with spring clamps and they're just fine. Plus they're re-usable if you need to disassemble/service something. They're a tight fit over the gates green-stripe hose that I had to use in a couple spots, but totally workable. They fit OEM hoses great, as the wall thickness of those hoses is a little thinner than the aftermarket stuff.
