I searched but couldn't find whether anyone has replaced the tubing that runs down the A pillar from the sunroof. I've cleaned the drains multiple times with different solutions (vinegar, dish soap, foaming evaporator cleaner) and weed wacker line with a pipe cleaner wrapped around it. Each time, it stays clean for about a week until it starts smelling like mildew again. I doubt I can clean the tubing effectively enough from the drain opening to keep the mildew from getting a foothold. If it's possible I'd like to pull out the tubing and replace it.

dealer charged me under $300 dollars to replace it - considering there's an airbag in the A-pillar, we decided to leave this to the dealer

That makes sense. What motivated you to replace it - leaks/ smell?

I remember recently seeing a post about someone who replaced the entire sunroof assembly and the teardown required. I'll link it up if I run into it again.

Maybe some of this will help

Ah I remember that post. I think it was this one:

leaks: down the A-pillar into the cabin - the tubing had separated itself from the sunroof drain

there's hardly ever a humid smell in Arizona, it's just too dry even when there was a downpour a few hours earlier :meh:
