I am in the middle of putting in a new radiator and thought this is a perfect time to install a Koso temperature gauge. I have a new water outlet pipe drilled and threaded for the sensor. I’d like to confirm that the only thing I need to remove is the alternator. It is too dang hot today to fool around.

Yes the alternator and the alternator bracket.

@Fj80oregon is 100% correct. An open ended crowfoot can fit, but I didn’t have the clearance to move. Save yourself some grief and remove the alternator and bracket.
