I have a 2006 LX 470, temp gauge works fine. Out of curiosity I started monitoring things with my Torque app the other day. Engine coolant temps were consistently 199-209 degrees F. Ambient temperature and load didn't seem to matter at all.
I started with the cheap/easy stuff and just installed an OEM thermostat and gasket. The thermostat in there was definately not OEM and it looked a bit different. Engine coolant temps now sit at 188-192 and peak at 195.8 degrees.
So I thought I would post a reminder to monitor temps from time to time with something other than the temp gauge on the dash. I can't see any difference in needle position between 185 and 210. So that's annoying.
