Those of you who have done SOA's on a FJ-40 and moved your front axle forward...how have you dealt with the shock mounts? Trimming the inside fender seems to be manditory, but what I'm really wondering is did you reuse the original mounts and move them forward and higher to accomodate more flex and longer travel shocks? Anybody build your own...pictures would be awesome 8) I'm planning to run shocks with 12-14 inches of travel...ideas appreciated

if you don't get the ford mounts right away, you can pull the bolt on the top mount and put it in backwards.

Anyone know how far the Ford mounts extend your shock mount distance beyond stock? A stock FJ-40 mount set-up is 21 inches top to bottom...I'm hoping the Fords would be around 25 inches....anyone got figures on this? Thanks in advance ;)
