Regearing for 295 75/16????

Will I need to regear my diff's for a 295 75/16? Am I cutting close with that size or just stick with 285's

I wouldnt think so. On a show in the past of Extreme 4X4 on Spike TV they said regearing in most rigs is only necessary if you go to or above 315's or 35 inch tires. But If I were you, I would get a second opinion.

I have been running 295 Nitto's for two years, other than being too small, I'm very happy with them. Have 529 gears on the bench and 37" on the way to solve that problem.:D
 
Do you need to re-set the speedo with 285 or 295's??

Well, you dont HAVE to but yes, you will have to reset it if you want the correct MPH.
 
Hey Tool R us, do you have any pics of those tires on your lx. Also do you have a lift or any rubbing issues
 
Any change in tire diameter from stock will affect the speedo. I run 285/75 with stock gear and as an example I was indicating 58 mph and CSP got me on radar at 65 in a 55 zone (only gave me a warning :D )
 
Going to 285/75/16 will throw your speedo and odo off ~6%
