Hey everyone I'm going to Red Lake next weekend with some buddies of mine. I'm sure some of you have run that trail and the ones near it. What are somethings to look out for? My 80 is nearly stock so are there any spots that I should try to avoid?

Just take it slow. There are really no bypasses on the trail just how you pick the line. The trail just depends on how the winter was on it. It changes each year. Make sure it is open because it.is not scheduled to be.opened until June 15th at the earliest

If they aren't we'll prolly just find another trail. Plan is to go camping friday and saturday nights. Thanks for the heads up. Is there a website that list what trails are open and what's not? I found some decent info over at 4x4trailtalk.com

4x4Him... They usually help open most trails up there? Check thierry site

Their page of trail opening dates is from 2010.

me and my cousin and our kids are heading up to red mountain for a overnighter next tues and come back wed if any one is wanting to roll with us. we are not sure if we want to go to coyote or go to mirror lake. we will be leaving 19th and return 20th.

Body Damage, lots of it. Made it all the way to Coyote lake though. Trail gave the 80 hell though.

I'm about to build a thread over in 80 tech.

Going to Red/Coyote Lake tomorrow. If anybody is interested, be at the trailhead at 10:00.

Off is a must like dean said. It got down to the upper 40s last weekend but temps here in the valley where in the 100s. May be a little cooler this weekend but I doubt it. Have lots of fun.
