I just arrived in West Lafayette for good yesterday. I am going to try to talk the wife into it. Otherwise, it may be just me, me and my 5 year old, or none of us.:flipoff2:

Hope you can make it. Looks like I might be bringing my 5yr. old grandson as well. That should be interesting.

The wife is game. So there will be 4 of us; my boys are about 5 and 3. We will be coming down Saturday morning and leaving Sunday. These are family friendly events, right? (Except for campfire time.)

the wheeling part is ok, aside from the CB banter and Tony's songs...though they are usually clean.

The campfire is about as unfamily friendly as it gets while staying [STRIKE]legal[/STRIKE] ....[STRIKE]concious[/STRIKE].....[STRIKE]safe[/STRIKE]....[STRIKE]politcally correct[/STRIKE]....

umm its not family friendly.

Let me rephrase this. Do any of y'all bring kids to these events?

So Hoosiers Cruisers is not a family friendly club then? That is too bad.

Nonetheless, I will likely be there.

Who said HC wasn't a family friendly club? I don't like wheeling with my kids. I go wheeling to get away from home.

I really wouldn't bring a kid to the camp fire and I wouldn't want to go wheeling if I couldn't hang out at the camp fire. It actually kind of irritates me when people expect us to act like there are kids around. Most folks figure out not to expect it twice.

Don't project me on Hoosiers Cruisers. I'm not even in HC.

Forgive my smart-ass post. It was beer induced.

My oldest loves to ride the trails and they both love to camp. That is why I would want to bring them along.

As of right now, It looks like i am out. If i can get a tire by thursday without it costing me an arm and a leg for shipping, Ill be there.

I suggest you come and check it our yourself, if you bring your kid, plan accordingly.

I dont really mind kids being around but thats because I dont really sensor myself around them....I guess the down side for me is all the pussies around the camp fire who do sensor them selves. :flipoff2:

Bottom line it sure isnt for everyone, and thats the way we like it!!!!

:grinpimp:

Pig's got a passenger seat too, as does the D350. In fact, it's legal to chill in the camper on the road in IL and IN.

Are you completely carless now? I have a Honda I could get to you this weekend.

I assume that y'all don't bring any women either?

There is usually quite a a bit of profanity, lots of "adult" jokes, and alcohol. So if your lady is cool it's no biggie. Kids would be alright for maybe the first hour back at camp.

Possibly take 2 vehicles and have wifey take the little ones home when the rowdyness starts up?

Just tryin' to get a feel of what to expect. I do not expect y'all to change your behavior due to my kids. s***, if you heard the words that my 4 year old says, you would have the boys taken away.

I am a huge fan of adult time. My "old" club had lots of kids and families. It was pretty cool, as everyone chipped in to help out and watch the young ones. It was a communal effort.

I would come alone, but after being gone for a six weeks rehabbing the old house, it would be a tough sell to tell the wifey to watch the boys for another weekend while I went and played with the boys. Hence the desire to make it a "family" affair, while still getting some quality Cruiser time in.
