Hi

*first post*
I am new to all offroading, but been racing cars and motorcycles and doing work my whole life.
Have a 2022 Lexus GX460 and after trying it out on a fairly easy trail this weekend, I’ve been bit by the bug to do a bit more. Seems the biggest limitation on this thing is the body kit they put on it. Looking to get a new bumper and rock sliders, but never been good at body work. Not wanting to do a bad hack job on such a nice vehicle. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the dallas area I can work with?

Welcome! I'm not in Dallas, but there's a "clubhouse" section on here where you might have more luck asking a Dallas-centric crew. And post up some pics in the sticky pic thread at the top!

Contact #toyotatechnical on IG. Good TEQ mechanic!

Try looking up 4 Wheel Parts. They're a chain of off road stores and generally are pretty good and reliable. There are some down in you're neck of the woods.
You may also want to try Googling: Toyota off road work

I have tried several different offroad mechanics here in the Dallas area, but the only one I recommend now is Tandem Automotive in Haltom City (Tandem Offroad - https://www.tandemoffroad.com/). They specialize in Toyotas and do a great job. I live on the opposite side of the metroplex, but it is worth the extra travel time and inconvenience to take my GX and 200 series there.

Thanks! I saw tandoms site and they looked like a pretty credible shop. I’ll give them a try.

Not sure where you are in Dallas, but Cody Crafted is just south of Fort Worth. He has a YouTube channel and seems to know his stuff. He’s done several GX460s.
