Recommendations for an inexpensive 17” wheel for snow tires?

I gave away my OEM 18” wheels years ago, but moving to a place that requires a separate dedicated snow tire. The BFG KO2s aren’t going to cut it anymore. I have aftermarket 18s, but I think I’d prefer an 17” for the winter tires. Ideally something with a +25ish offset.

I’ve been scouring the classifieds for a used set of wheels and haven’t found the right set there.

Any recommendations?

Pretty much method or icon are the "inexpensive" 17 options with a 25-35 offset. If you can't find them used, then they range in the $300ish per wheel ballpark, so you may want to reconsider some 18" Tundra take-offs if budget is a concern, as you can get a full set for a few hundred bucks.

17s are a tough size for anything cheap and OEM in the right bolt pattern. If you do 18s there are a ton of cheap tundra options that you can get for a couple hundred bucks for a set on marketplace.

Others suggested Icon and Method. Also check out Nomad and Fifteen52 - both run pretty good sales

3rd the 18" Tundra wheels. There isn't a stronger, cheaper, better set of wheels.

I'd caution getting an aftermarket wheel with aggressive (i.e. +25mm) or wrong offsets for winter tires. In low traction environments, having proper offsets magnifies suspension geometry. Aggressive offsets force tire slip as the front tires don't work together to point exactly in the same direction, due to scrub radius, making turns particularly touchy and more likely to slide out.

Another vote here for used Tundra 18" wheels. I bought a set of 4 for just $120 and mounted 255/70R18 Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 winter tires. They were caked with tree sap and moss...

...so after a fair amount of cleaning and rattle can repainting, they turned out pretty clean.

Also consider the steelies from a Tundra.

Probably not helpful, but I have a set of 5 OEM wheels with Nokian R3 snow tires in my basement, I really need to get rid of them now that I run Michelin Defenders year-round.

Yeah hard to beat tundra take offs. I got a set for $150 to throw some 275/70/18 general grabber artic LTs on. Unless you're trying to get some 35" nokian snow tires that only come in 17", I feel like 18s have a lot of good options for snow tires. Or even 20s too for that matter. 275/70/18 seems to be the tallest I can find for an 18" snow tire. Once this set wears out I might try to get some tundra 20" BBS wheels and run a 275/65/20 which equates to about a 34" tire. Mostly for vanity. I always feel like my truck has skipped leg day when I swap out my 35x12.5s for the skinny 33 snow tires lol..

I have an extra set of Tundra wheels mounted with studded Noikian Hakkapelitta and TPMS.
These are from my '11 200 Series that sold and will heading to warmer climates.

+1 for Tundra 18's.

I've got a set of Tundra 20's that I use for my winters. Quite happy with them. Same rim & tire size for winters, summers and spare simplifies things for me.

i have 7ea Icon vector 5s in 17in. 3 of them are trash, but 4 of them are 100% usable if you don't mind scratches on the faces.

they are +25
