My seats are pretty torn up, but I'll be spending money on mechanical before cosmetic. Is there a brand that fits well, is waterproof and doesn't cost as much as a set of tires?
Thanks.

Cabela's has the trail series covers...work well, and cheap. They only last a couple of years for me, but I'm topless in the summer, and they get pounded by the elements.

Whoa. $330 for the pair. I'm looking for something I can toss when I do a real reupholstery job.

Welcome to the world of the 40, nothing cheap.

Too true. I'm thinking about just doing it myself. I've made canvas tents. The upholstery pleather that I have is about the same thickness as Sunforger. Maybe I'll just Barge's cement some of the vinyl onto the seat where it's damaged. Save my money for tires.

If you do buy covers I have heard good things about Cruiser Corps product FWIW. I have seen some really nice custom jobs too. Good luck!

Ditto on the costco covers. I have them and they actually worked out very well. Can't beat the price and super easy to put on.

Another set of Costco covers. They sun fade eventually. I replace them every couple of years.

They look great. I'll order one for the driver's seat today and see if I like it.
Hell! It's $25 for a PAIR. If I have to replace them once a year, it's cheaper than reupholstering them. I'm going to Barge's cement some upholstery pleather to the existing seats just to keep them together under the seat covers.

I don’t know if the $330 a pair comment was directed to my first post, but here’s the link to the covers I’m mentioning

Ah. Very different than the ones I found. Thanks!

I wish I had the ready cash for that. I'm also not positive they'll fit. I have a later 1978 that sometimes takes 1979 and later bits and pieces.

Anyone have ideas for the bench seat? I just want to protect my rare zebra seats from the sand and wet bathing suits... I have forward facing rear seats as well.

Cabela’s is pretty good for the full front bench. Decent fit and quality for $30.
