Been thinking the same thing about Nolen, I have not frequented MUD as much lately with a lot of the heavy lifting done on the 40 (for now!).

I was beginning to worry about you Michael -- glad to see you are back at it and I hope you get to take advantage of the water jet cabinet. Very Cool. I also like that on occasion you see things as not good enough. From time to time I battle with leaving a project/task as is because it serves a purpose vs. starting over and doing it better. Feels a bit weird but I have to say it, your ribs look lovely.

I know I can always count on catching up with Danny's posts. . . I am usually behind by the page with him! ;)

Work has been extreem lately, a lot of weekend abroad and when here the honey do list takes a lot of my time.
I want to get it right so when it doesn’t fit I just do it again until it fits and looks right.
It’s so rewarding when you get it right, gives me the energy to get through the week.
The next few weeks will be mostly work and a few day’s vacation so don’t worry.

Some results of the aqua jet.

And after some grinding.

Started with the idea to patch the rear Sil.:hmm:
Made the first patch and decided to just create a new one from scratch.
I need to do something with my time.:grinpimp:

The first section.

As the Sil is made from 2mm steel and I don’t have the equipment to bend the full length I had to make it in sections.

The top made

This is the vertical part between the Sil and the rear fenders.
Making it in two parts, its made of 1,5mm steel so forming is a B.....

A piece of steel cut for the lower part.

Is there anyone that can post a picture of the rear corner where the vertical post meets the Sil on a 79 - 84?

Bending therear fading part of the Sil in sections.
First the top bend, clamped it to a piece of angle steel and marked the position of the lower bend.

Here you can see the first 2 sections bended.

The other sections bended, now I have to line up the bends perfectly, clean and weld together.
After dimpling the holes on the top part they can be welded together.
