If the button was broken, it would allow either vent to open.

My 100 has two switches, one for the left and one for the right. I would just "switch" The left and right by unplugging the side that didnt work and plug it into the opposite side switch (they have the same type of plug),which would at least tell you if the switch was bad.

The plugs are not the same. You can not switch them.

You can jump the switchs plug to bypass the switch.

The other window will open if the other switch is disconnected.

The switch can be test with a simple contunity light per/FSM

You can disconnect where the motor plugs in and feed it with 12 volts and see if the motor good. To close the window just reverse the leads.

Both switches use the same fused power.

There are no relays in the circuit.

Basicly if your switch is good and your motor works you have a wiring or connector problem.

I have the same problem and my switch is good and the motor is good.

UPDATE The thread motivated me and I pull the inside rear quarter and there it was... the J41 connector was unplugged.:D :D

Thats what a sledge hammer is for ;p

Yes, come to think of it, they are slightly different plugs..same type (4 pin left to right) but one has a slot so you dont accidently plug the LH into the RH switch.

You can either jump them like Phil mentioned or I guess you could simply swap the pins @ the connector and plug them into opposite switch..either way, its a good idea to get a hold of a factory Toyota EWD book before attempting to diagnose the problem.

Good Luck Yahtzee ! :)
